Products Description

PEM-0801MP Material Heat Treatment High-Intensity Electromagnetic Field

1. Overview

With the rapid advancement of science and technology, various industries are demanding higher performance from materials. This drives the continuous development of new materials and research into novel processes for traditional materials. As one of the important physical fields in nature, the electromagnetic field, with its unique properties, can be applied as an external force to the surface and interior of materials and is easy to operate and control. Therefore, it has become a significant method in metallurgy, melt purification, microstructure refinement, control of melt solidification and shaping, and the manufacturing of composite materials.

As a controllable physical field, the electromagnetic field finds extensive application in materials science research and processing due to its distinctive characteristics. For example, electromagnetic separation technology for melts utilizes the difference in electrical conductivity typically existing between a metal melt and non-metallic inclusions or primary phases within it. Under the influence of a magnetic field, the melt and the inclusions/primary phases experience different electromagnetic forces, causing the inclusions or phases to move directionally and regularly within the melt, thereby achieving the goal of melt processing. Electromagnetic separation technology includes electromagnetic melt purification and electromagnetic separation for preparing surface in-situ composite materials.

Other applications include the use of steady high magnetic fields in solid-state phase transformations, static magnetic fields in material production, high magnetic fields in materials science, the preparation of new functional materials under high magnetic field conditions, the application of electromagnetic fields in material solidification processes (i.e., electromagnetic refinement), electromagnetic field-assisted sintering of conductive ceramic composites, electromagnetic forming, and electromagnetic compound casting, among others.

2. Features

The PEM-0801MP electromagnetic magnet is one of the primary devices for generating a steady electromagnetic field. Its features include a large magnetic field space, stable magnetic field intensity, controllable magnetic induction intensity, and customizable magnetic field direction (horizontal, vertical, or other angles). It is one of the supporting equipment for researching material preparation and new materials.

The PEM-0801MP electromagnetic magnet adopts an armored structure, which reduces weight, minimizes magnetic flux leakage, offers high electromagnetic efficiency, and causes little external magnetic interference. Depending on usage requirements, various access windows of specified sizes can be created on the top, bottom, front, and rear of the electromagnetic magnet assembly.

To ensure greater magnetic field stability, the PEM-0801MP electromagnetic magnet is designed with an internal cooling structure for heat dissipation.
